Thailand Butterfly Checklists

Accurate and up to date checklists for Thai butterfly localities have, to date, been unavailable. All locality checklists on this site are constructed from personal observations, and include details of the number of times a site has been visited and in which months. Whilst this approach will not contain historic records and certainly under records very rare and vagrant species, they provide an accurate overview of the species likely to be encountered. Taxonomy and nomenclature follow Ek-Amnuay, P. (2012) Butterflies of Thailand, Edition 2, with taxonomic updates incorporated from Yutaka, Butterflies in Indo-China, Kimura (2011 - 2016) The Butterflies of Thailand, and recent publications.
